The particular construction process gives to the product a fashionable accent, in addition to a substantial creative value, given to the collaboration of international creatives, who have realized original patterns and unique graphics design. The vase is composed of different pieces of technical fabric – Goretex – with a special film, which first are sewed and then thermo-taped together. Thanks to the water- resistant membrane, the vase can be filled up with water. Every vase is equipped with a special counterweight which permits to be placed safely. The V20, the first of the taped fabric vases’ series, won the 2009 Red Dot Design Award in the product design category. The well-known annual competition – which takes place in Essen, Germany – is one of the most famous design awards worldwide. An international design jury gave recognition value to the V20, not only as an HIGH DESIGN item, but also for its innovative and aesthetic features as well as its ability to distinguish itself from masses of anonymous goods.

Design as problem-solving characterizes VirusPlus. The approach is viral, the effort compact. A virus is a small infectious agent that can only replicate itself inside a living cell, radically altering its structure; VirusPlus is an experimental design + fashion label which contaminates the codified repertoire of men’s urban clothing using the technology and performance factor of extreme sportswear. The result is Techno-Tailormade (TTM™) items. TTM™ is not sportswear. It’s not tailoring in the traditional sense of the term, either. It uses sports solutions – breathable meshes, waterproofing, tape, functional hidden pockets, unbreakable buttons – for the type of clothing a tailor would make. This means that sewing machines, needles and scissors have been craftily adapted to work with man-made, state-of-the-art fabrications. The process of contamination is radical as it is irreversible: as the DNA of activewear and formalwear mingle, the morphing of tailoring and performance creates new clothing categories. Virusplus is 100% made in Italy with the best performance fabrics produced worldwide. It addresses men with an active lifestyle who look for items that are reliable and durable; men who want to dress up without sacrificing the comfort of the sportswear they’ve worn while growing up. The most advanced design characterizes this innovative back protector jacket that breaks the classic design patterns, and sets new ergonomic standards. The innovative construction solution gives the protector 3 more degrees of freedom than protectors of the past, thus allowing it to closely replicate all the shapes of the human back in typical sports activity. The protector is capable of extending or retracting by bending, in this way following the movements of the torso. It is also able to bend and twist to follow the lateral bending movements of the body. The composite sandwich is the result of the 30 years of experience in the design of back protectors, the external plates with controlled elastic return movement are made of polypropylene and joined to the Crash absorb. A final layer of comfort material ensures precise coupling with the surface anatomy of the back. The protector is integrated into a jacket made from 3-layer fabric with water resistance, thermal insulation and breathability. The fabric has an internal hydrophilic membrane that guarantees both watertight seal and breathability of the garment. The micro-fleece inner layer optimizes thermal insulation for the maximum thermal comfort.
